Production notes
Our 2019 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is crafted with precision to showcase the purity and complexity of the fruit. Harvested on October 5th at 23 Brix, the grapes were carefully handled to preserve their vibrant coastal character. The wine is composed of 60% destemmed fruit and 40% whole cluster fermentation, achieving a harmonious balance between elegance and structure. Fermentation took place in open-top fermenters, with gentle manual punchdowns to ensure precise extraction of flavor, color, and tannins.
After fermentation, the wine was aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, utilizing a combination of 600L and 228L formats. This thoughtful aging process enhances the wine’s texture and depth while maintaining its freshness and vibrancy. The result is a Pinot Noir with refined structure, a polished mouthfeel, and a long, graceful finish that reflects the distinct terroir of the Sonoma Coast.

32 Winds 2019 Platt Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast)
Aromas of dusty cranberry, cherry and plum skin swirl on the nose of this Pinot. The palate displays more savory character, with black tea, sage and chamomile flavors and a bit of herbal character to the tannin. There's a liveliness to the palate that's quite pleasurable.
